Solid Rock is a church that is big enough to make a difference, but still small enough to care. You will definitely notice the love that the people share for one another whether you’re a long time friend or a first time visitor. 

We personally invite you to worship with us at any of our services or events. Solid Rock is definitely a place where the quality of people make the difference. We offer ministries ranging from nursery age through senior adults.

• Lake Days for YOUTH: JOURNEY will be going to the lake on Fridays, June 26, July 10, 17, 31 to Spring Mill Pond. Meet at the church @ 10:30am and return @ 3:30pm. Hot dogs provided; contact Doug for more info.

• HELP PAINT FOR VBS! On Sat., June 27 at 10am at church, Jenny will be having a “paint-party” for all the props needed for VBS. Please come and help us with this great event! Lunch provided; see Jenny for more info.

• Lunch Next Sunday! On Sun., June 28 right after church the youth will be doing hamburgers/hot dogs for a donation/fund raiser to go to camp. Please stay for the BBQ and support our youth!

• CHURCH PICNIC/Lake BAPTISM: On Sunday, July 12 we will be having our annual church wide picnic and baptism at Independence Lake immediately following our church service. Bring your own picnic for your family with meat to put on the BBQ, and also a side dish to share with others. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact Pete Kwaak.

• ATTENTION LADIES!  Our 3rd Annual Ladies’ Retreat, Wilderness Wandering, will be Aug. 14 & 15 at Springhill Camp in Evart, MI.  You don't want to miss this opportunity to learn the deeper meaning behind Psalm 23, not to mention the great time of fun and fellowship.  Cost is $75 per person, which includes dinner on Friday and three meals on Sat.  The church van will be leaving at 3:00 p.m. Fri. • NEED YOUTH CAMP SPONSORS: Our youth have been working hard to raise money to go to camp, if you would like to “SPONSOR” a young person to go for any amount, please note your envelope “youth camp donation.” Camp cost $250 pp.

• Ladies ‘Splash Bash’: A pool party for the ladies on Friday, July 17 at Linda Neal’s house! So fun! See Cindy for more info.!

• Need More VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for 2 people to help in our sound department on Sundays and Weds. If you’re interested, please contact Steve Lafave. Also, need volunteers for the WELCOME TEAM contact the office.

• KITCHEN ITEMS for Pick up: There is a collection of items that don’t belong to the church that belong to church members. Please stop by the church kitchen and pick up your empty dishes if you have brought a meal to church previously.

• New Class Started today! Adult Bible Fellowship (A.B.F.) Every Sunday now from 9:00am – 9:45am (similar to a Sunday school class). Hope to see you there! Childcare provided for pre-school and below.

• Join Solid Rock! If you want to make Solid Rock your church home…we would love to have you! Please contact the church office for more info. 248.486.4400.

• New Member Pictures: If you have joined Solid Rock Church as a new member in the last 6 months, please see Erica Bishop so she can take your picture and we can get to know your family better.

• Resource Center: Please take advantage of our Resource Center in the foyer of the church. We have lots of free materials to take home and read that are helpful for everyone. Take a look!

• Join a Small Group! Tony Galorneau is here to help you find a small group that fits your spiritual needs. Contact Tony.

• Job Board for the Unemployed: If you are currently unemployed, we would like to help you network.  Please write your info. on a half sheet of paper: name, address, contact info., skills, field of employment, etc., and return it to the office.  We will post it on the bulletin board in the hallway as well as any current job opening we receive.

• ‘GET INVOLVED’:  Serve God and Grow! We are always looking for help in different ministries, contact the office if you are interested in serving at Solid Rock. Also, get connected by joining a small group, we have all kinds, ages and genders, something for everyone!

• The Library is Open//Donations: Please remember that the library is now open before and after church to sign out books and media.  We are still taking in donations for more books or funding to make our library the best it can be. Please contact Saudi Trott.

• Missionary of the Month: Our missions’ focus now turns to the Spinks Family in Brazil. New “Missionary of the Month” prayer cards are available that include all of their contact information, requests and praises.  Please use this info to email them, write them, and pray for their needs.

• Directory Updates: We would like to update our directory soon. If you would like to be in our church directory OR if you have any changes to your personal information, please fill out a white Directory Update card from the Welcome table.
  You can drop them off in the offering plates, the office, or with Tammie Dalke.

• Website! Remember to check out this Solid Rock website on a regular basis. You will find new announcements and the current calendar to keep you updated.

• Email Circuit: If you are not on our weekly email circuit receiving reminders and updates, but would like to be, please contact the church office and let us know. You can contact us through email, phone or a bulletin tear-off.
