2008 Christmas Experience,
"Celebrate! A Star is Born." This event is
designed to minister to the women in our lives; and we could
use your help. If you would like to partner with us and

Saturdays in October:
JOURNEY will be hosting our first ever,
“RAKE AND RUN”
event! The youth will be performing ‘Random Acts of
Kindness.’ We will be raking leaves
from 10am until 2pm.
Things to bring… rakes, gloves and we also desperately need
yard waste bags. Also,
if you know of seniors (neighbors & family) that would like
to get on our list, contact Doug Broughton.

Small Group Dates:
The youth will be meeting for small groups at
the Mihalic’s home at
7:30pm at
392 Stanford Road
in SL every FRIDAY
night. Contact Maryann Mihalic.

Women’s Bible Study:
The ladies meet again on
Thurs., Oct. 9 & 23. Nov. 6 & 20 @ 6:30pm-8:30pm
for the Beth
Moore Study of Daniel.

College
and Career “C-2” Small Group:
Our young adults meet every
Wed. night @ 7pm at Rob and Brenda Glenn’s house in SL. Join
them to hang out and make new friends.

Christian MOVIE Out:
“FIREPROOF”,
a Christian movie about marriage, has opened
in theaters this past
weekend. If you have a chance to see it, please
go. Pastor Chris will be commenting on it in upcoming Sunday
messages.

The
Library is Open//Donations:
Please remember that the library
is now open before and
after church to sign out books and media. We are
still taking in donations for more books or funding to make
our library the best it can be. Please contact Saudi Trott.

Missionary of the Month:
Our missions’ focus now turns to the
Spinks Family in Brazil.
New “Missionary of the Month” prayer cards are available
that include all of their contact information, requests and
praises. Please use this info to email them, write them,
and pray for their needs.

Small Groups:
GET
CONNECTED at Solid Rock! If
you are feeling like you need to know more people and make
new friends, you need to join a small group! Small group is
where you can hang out, eat, fellowship and have bible
studies outside of regular church time. Contact the office
for more info.

Directory Updates:
We would like to update our directory soon. If you would
like to be in our church directory OR if you have any
changes to your personal information, please fill out a
white Directory Update card from the Welcome table.
You can drop them off in the offering plates, the office, or
with Tammie Dalke.
